Cleaning Wipes on a Budget
Many ingredients in cleaning wipes these days are toxic chemicals, unless you use environmentally friendly brands, household cleaners are synonymous with chemicals that are harsh on the skin, air and environment. These store bought wipes can also wipe out your budget. I use a formula which I first got as a “baby wipe” recipe and I have tweaked it to fit our household needs.
Below is our version of the cleaning wipe; this step by step is super easy!

Step 1: With an electric knife cut a roll of paper towels in half. Some people suggest using the “blue shop” towels but any extra strength towel will do. I use extra strength because I am then able to rinse them out and continue to clean with them. |

Step 2: Ingredients are 1 cup bottled water, ½ cup vinegar, 1 Tbsp Tea Tree Oil, & 1 Tbsp dish washing soap. Put all ingredients in container and mix. I have also pictured the ingredients needed to make the wipes that I leave in the bathroom. I replace the Tea Tree Oil with baby oil and the dish soap with mild bathing soap. If you we’re going to use this for a child I would recommend using distilled water instead of bottled and a milder oil. |

Step 3: Place paper towels down in the mixture and close and latch the container. Turn it over on its lid so that the mixture is able to saturate all the towels and leave like that for 15 minutes. When the time is up turn right side up and remove paper towel roll, this will make the inside paper towel want to follow it up and you have a spot to start pulling paper towels from. |

If you want to keep it “greener” mix the cleaning wipe solution and dip your cloth in it. ENJOY AND SHARE!
